First off I need to send out a very big thank you to $hexentanz for the subscription to DA! that was a very unexpected surprise this week to receive that Thank you very much for that!!

Memorial day weekend is here woo hoo 3 day weekend!! I was actually thinking of going to visit my sis Lisa this weekend but after seeing the amount of cops that was on the road today here in Virginia I have decided that this weekend isn't a good time for me to travel a few hours on the road. I have a 30 minute commute to work and just this morning going to work and coming home this evening from work I passed (no joke) about 100 state, county, and sheriffs department officers giving tickets to motorists. They was every where out on the roads today giving out coupons to those lucky souls that got stopped by them. I am sure i could make the journey with out being pulled over but with the amount of idiots that are going to be on the roads why take a chance right? So I am just going to hang out around house this weekend and save my money for a summer trip to Lisa's house.

A bit of good news that happened to me this week, I am sure there is a lot of people on here that has heard of w3 schools, as described on wikipedia they are......a web developer's portal, with tutorials and references relating to web development subjects, including HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript. W3Schools is free of charge, and is funded through text and display advertising.[1]. The tutorials and references on the website and the related code are proprietary.

On their site they have classes that you can take to help further your knowledge and education of web development, they also have a place on there that you can take practice tests to see how much you know or don't know. Well I decided since it was a practice test and free on top of that why not take the test, so I took the php test they have on their site and got a 75% on the test only missing 5 questions YAY ME!! This might not sound like a big deal to alot of people here but for me it was a sense of accomplishment because I have been messing around with web development. Now I am sure some of you might be asking "if i am in to web development why am i a member of an art community?" Well believe it or not art and web development kind of go hand in hand like shoes and socks. Graphics are a big part of a site as much as the coding it self.

Anyway I am just excited for the good score on my practice test, this is making me think that much more about going to school and furthering myself in the field of web development. I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Memorial day weekend, if you have to go out on the roads this weekend take the extra second to buckle up so you can avoid the tickets from the cops and so you make it back home safe.
